Preamble

Interdisciplinary Arts Center (IDACK[1]) intends – with a different and new approach – to minimize the gap among cultures, literatures and arts of all the countries in the world through available capacities. Indubitably bridging this gap will culminate in emergence of new cultures, literatures and arts in the world.

At its earliest stage, IDACK intends to concentrate on the meaningful fusion of the literatures and visual arts. Actually IDACK endeavor pivots on displaying the world literature and its renditions to various languages embellished with pertinent arts of each countries to address the below goals in international arena:

    Introducing art-masterpieces

    Promoting literature, arts and culture

    Introducing poets and intellectuals and their unassailable role

Since a noteworthy number of poets and intellectuals are Iranian, this center has the honor to highlight the tremendous role of Omar Khayyam and further introduce the Edward Fitz Gerald as the most prominent translator of Khayyam’s Quatrains.

Pursuant to the mentioned mission statement, a splendid exhibition and commemoration ceremony was held in Golestan Palace in Tehran (Iran). Due to the huge number of visitors including ambassadors from various countries, eminent artists and the director of Cultural Heritage Organization of Iran, the duration of the exhibition prolonged for additional week to satisfy the great appreciations received from the visitors. It should be mentioned that the closing remarks of this unprecedented events – both in Iran and the world – has been delivered by Mr. Baghaei (Director of the Cultural Heritage Organization of Iran) and some of the high-ranking officials.

In the closing ceremony, IDACK and Golestan Palace directors proffered an artwork to the deputy to the president in cultural affairs. Hopefully, IDACK received some positive feedbacks regarding further cooperation with the Cultural Heritage Organization in creating more precious artworks.



[1] The letter “K” at the end of the abbreviation represents the founder’s surname and hereinafter Interdisciplinary Arts Center will be referred to as IDACK.

N.B. Interdisciplinary Arts Center is an independent center and it is financed by holding training courses, creating and selling art works and arranging workshops.
